The Renton Chamber of Commerce is offering a series of workshops called “Survive and Thrive in 2009” to help local businesses cope with the current recession nationwide.

Kevin Hoult, adviser for the Small Business Development Center, is leading the series.

The next workshop in the series is at the Chamber of Commerce on March 11 from 8-9:30 a.m. The topic is “Local marketing and cooperative efforts to bring in customers.”

The workshops are open to the public. Pre-register by calling the chamber at 425.226.4560, or just show up. The Chamber of Commerce is at 300 Rainier Ave. N.
