The Renton girls basketball team reeled of its fifth straight win by topping Highline 34-27 Monday.
The Indians (7-3 overall, 5-2 Seamount) erased a two-point deficit in the third quarter then clamped down on defense, allowing just two fourth-quarter points to the Pirates.
Kelsey Sparks led Renton with 12 points. Amanda Rogers scored eight.
Tyee 58, Lindbergh 57
The Lindbergh girls basketball team suffered another close loss, 58-57 to Tyee Monday.
The Eagles (0-7, 0-7) have lost their past two games by six total points. Against Tyee, Lindbergh led by five at the half, then gave up the lead in the third quarter. The game went into overtime, where the Totems gained a one-point edge.
Emily Graver led Lindbergh with 25 points. Brandi Lindsay scored 18. Kaylee Magat scored 12.
Hazen 62, Foster 51
The Hazen girls basketball team won its second straight game 62-51 over Foster Monday.
The Highlanders (5-7, 4-4) sprinted out to an 18-9 lead in the first quarter.
Airashay Rogers scored 28 for Hazen to lead all scorers. Michelle Wnek scored 14.
