Lindbergh wins SPSL meet

The Eagles took first place in seven different events last week.

With a team score of 409, the Lindbergh Eagles won the South Puget Sound League meet on Oct. 27 and 28.

The Eagles took first place in seven different events — 200 yard medley relay, 200 yard freestyle, 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, 100 yard backstroke and the 400 yard freestyle relay.

The Renton Indians also participated in the SPSL meet.

The Indians finished in sixth place with a team score of 97.5.

The West Central District Dive/Swim prelims and finals will be held today, Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 at Hazen High School.

The following weekend, Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11, the girls who advance will participate at the 2017-2018 state championships at the King County Aquatic Center.
