Lindbergh soccer starts year a perfect 6-0

Monday's win over Kennedy Catholic was the Lancers' first Seamount League loss in more than two years.

The Lindbergh Eagles boys soccer team is off to an undefeated 6-0-0 start this season and a 4-0 start in the Seamount League after a 1-0 win over Kenendy Catholic on Monday.

According to Coach Ryan Johnson, Monday’s game marked the Lanxers’ first loss in Seamount League play in more than two years.

The lone goal in the game came late in the first half when forward James Farrell scored on a one-touch volley off of a cross by Taylor Rin. The Eagle defense did the rest, with sophomore keeper Matt Evetts picking up the shutout.

So far this season, the Eagles defense has been stingy, allowing only two goals all year.

Lindbergh plays at Foster today, Friday, and hosts Tyee on April 4 and Highline on Aril 6, both at Renton Memorial Stadium.
