Hazen girls tennis beats Lindbergh for second win

Once again, the Highlanders dominated, with three singles players winning in straight sets.

The Hazen girls tennis team picked up its second win of the season on Tuesday, beating Lindbergh 7-0 in a make-up match originally scheduled for March 23.

In first singles, Hazen’s Misa Takami beat Kate Hebbler 6-0, 6-0. Hazen second singles player Andressa Chan also beat her opponent, Anh Ngo 6-0, 6-0. In third singles, Bruna Sacomani bested Ridemta Vutangi 6-1, 6-1, while in fourth singles, Brigget Lee topped Michelle Mendoza 6-0, 6-0.

On the doubles court, the first team of Jennifer Nguyen and Alison Tay beat Amica Huynh and Drew Dang 6-2, 6-1, while the second doubles team of Jeanise Wong and Yena Nguyen won 6-1, 6-1 over Ania Gridyushko and Morgan Earl 6-1, 6-1 and the third team of Amy Nguyen and Kira Kusumi bested Giovana Sarabia and Fatima Taskin 6-1, 6-0.

Hazen is scheduled to play at Foster on Wednesday and hosts Highline on Friday.
