Senior Captain Reyes Garcia scored both of Hazen’s goals Tuesday night as the Highlanders picked up their third win of the year with a 2-1 victory over Highline at Renton Memorial Stadium.

Both of Garcia’s goals came in the first half off assists from Ethan Kem.

Highline scored one of their own with 13 minutes leftin the first half, setting up what Coach Ken Matthews called a “tense and interesting” second half.

“I’ve been told I appear calm on the sidelines. Tonight’s second half had me churning inside,” He said in an email. “But after a couple of 5-0 wins, we needed a good test.”

Hazen is now 3-2-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in Seamount play.

They play Renton on Friday and host Kennedy on Monday, both at Renton Memorial Stadium.
