Liberty started the week of play by losing to Bellevue 12-3 on April 8. The Patriots (7-3, 6-2) took an early lead in the top of the first inning, but gave it up in the bottom of the inning. Bellevue (4-7, 3-5) then went up 9-1 after four innings.

Patriots fall to BHS

Liberty started the week of play by losing to Bellevue 12-3 on April 8. The Patriots (7-3, 6-2) took an early lead in the top of the first inning, but gave it up in the bottom of the inning. Bellevue (4-7, 3-5) then went up 9-1 after four innings.

Jaron Iwakami started and took the loss for the Patriots. It was the first loss of the season for Iwakami (2-1), who went 2-4 with a run scored at the plate.

Jake Collier started and earned the win for the Wolverines. Taylor Anderson and Alex Bielaski each went 3-4 with three runs scored. Jeff Melby went 4-4 with three runs scored and two doubles.

Liberty beats Saints

Liberty rebounded to beat Interlake 4-1 on April 9. The Patriots took the lead with an eight-run fourth inning. Interlake scored its only run in the top of the seventh inning.

Jeffers (3-1) started and pitched seven innings with three strikeouts to earn the win. Iwakami went 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI triple.

Soccer

Bellevue takes out Liberty in close game

Liberty lost to Bellevue 1-0 on April 8. The Patriots fell to 1-7-1, while Bellevue improved to 6-2-1. It was the third 1-0 loss for Liberty this season.

Viktor Drangell scored the goal for the Wolverines with an assist by Jeff Bentler. Kasra Tayebi recorded the shutout for Bellevue.

Softball

Patriots beat up on Sammamish

Liberty beat Sammamish 16-0 on April 8. It was the fifth-straight win for the Patriots (7-4 overall, 5-2 KingCo 3A). It was the sixth-straight loss for Sammamish (3-8, 2-6).

Bree Bartholomew started and picked up the win for Liberty. Michelle Torre and Lindsey Bruder each went 2-4 with a double and a triple.

Tina Jacobsen started and took the loss for Sammamish.

Liberty scored at least one run in every inning except the first and fifth, including eight runs in the seventh inning.
