Seattle Light power outage affecting parts of West Hill, Tukwila

Seattle City Light crews were responding to a power outage in the Rainier View and West Hill neighborhoods of Seattle along with Skyway, and parts of Renton and Tukwila on Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE: Service was restored at about 3:30 p.m. Crews found several power lines wrapped together near the intersection of 68thAvenue S and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. They routed power around the damage to restore service to customers, and then started making repairs to the lines.

 

Seattle City Light crews were responding to a power outage in the Rainier View and West Hill neighborhoods of Seattle along with Skyway, and parts of Renton and Tukwila on Tuesday afternoon.

About 3,000 homes and businesses were affected by the outage, which started about 2 p.m. The general boundaries of the outage were South Bangor Street on the north; South 170th Street on the south; 42nd Avenue South on the west; and 76th Avenue South on the east.

Crews were working to determine a cause for the outage and make repairs. An initial estimate for restoration was set for 6 p.m.
