State suspends Renton physician’s license after child molestation charges

The man allegedly molested a minor while living in Bellevue.

The Washington State Department of Health has suspended the license of King County physician Lu Gao after he was charged with multiple counts of child molestation.

Gao was charged in King County Superior Court with one count of second-degree child molestation-domestic violence and one count of third-degree child molestation-domestic violence after a person alleged that he had abused her repeatedly when she was between ages 13 and 18.

The abuse allegedly occurred when Gao and his family lived in Bellevue, according to charging documents.

According to charging documents, Gao allegedly abused the victim on a weekly basis.

Gao was arrested on Aug. 18, 2022. His next court date is a pre-trial omnibus hearing at 1 p.m. Jan. 10.
