Renton Community Foundation extends deadline for scholarship applications

The Renton Community Foundation plans to award more $40,000 in scholarships this spring, but have not yet decided to whom.

In order to assemble a worthwhile pool of applicants, they have extended their deadline to 5 p.m., April 11. Interested parties can get more information on the foundation website, or by emailing the Foundation at lbohart@rentonfoundation.org.

The Foundation has scholarships available to graduating seniors, college undergraduates, college graduates, and returning students. The Foundation will also award a $1,000 to an engineering student, courtesy of PSE.

All awards will be presented at a special ceremony on June 2.
