A Bryn Mawr home suffered $10,000 in damage  Saturday  evening in a fire started by unattended food cooking on the kitchen stove, according to the King County Fire District 20.

Fire district crews, along with fire crews from Renton and Tukwila, responded to the fire in the 8200 block of South 122nd Street just before 6 p.m. Smoke was coming from the front door of the single-family home.

The fire was put out in 11 minutes. There were no injuries to the occupant or firefighters.
