14-year-old boy wounded in shooting at Renton Transit Center

A 14-year-old boy was wounded when multiple gunshots were fired at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday at the downtown Renton Transit Center, according to the Renton Police Department.

The boy was found near the transit center, 219 Burnett Ave. S.; his injuries were not expected to be life-threatening, according to police.

Police received reports of multiple shots fired at 10:13 p.m.

The suspect in the shootings was described as a young African-American male, associated with a dark-colored Jeep, according to police.

The exact motive was unknown, but police indicate the shooting did not appear to be random.
