Renton center offers alternative vein care

Valley Radiologists, a leading area medical practice specializing in diagnostic and interventional radiology services, will open the Vanishing Veins Northwest Center in Renton on Monday to provide alternatives to major surgery for patients with varicose veins, spider veins and related conditions.

Valley Radiologists, a leading area medical practice specializing in diagnostic and interventional radiology services, will open the Vanishing Veins Northwest Center in Renton on Monday to provide alternatives to major surgery for patients with varicose veins, spider veins and related conditions.

The new Vanishing Veins Northwest center will focus on two treatment methods: Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) and injection sclerotherapy.

Unlike traditional surgery for varicose veins and spider veins, both procedures are virtually painless and conducted on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia.

Vanishing Veins Northwest is at 17930 Talbot Road S., Renton.

Linda Kress promoted

Linda Kress of Renton has been promoted to partner in the Seattle office of Grant Thornton LLP. Kress was previously a senior tax manager with Grant Thornton.

A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, with a Bachelor of Science in accounting, Kress has been with Grant Thornton for two years.

Kress lives in Renton with her husband and three children.

AAA Renton hires agent

AAA Washington has hired James Hamberg as an insurance agent at its Renton Service Center at 3900 E. Valley Hwy., Suite 105. He can be reached at 425-251-6040.

Hamberg will specialize in personal-lines insurance including auto, home and life, customizing programs so clients receive the best value for their dollar.

Two get glass-repair training

Two Renton residents are among 10 technicians who recently completed SafeTech Academy, an eight-week course offered by Safelite AutoGlass, the nation’s largest vehicle glass repair and replacement company.

The local residents who recently completed the program are Dominik Moffitt and Michael Dunn.
