Foster edged Renton 27-26 Friday night.
The Indians (4-4 overall, 3-2 Seamount) still hold a one-game lead over the Bulldogs (3-5, 2-3) for second place among the 2A Seamount teams.
Renton took a 14-0 lead after the first quarter on touchdowns from Ernie Davis and a nine-yard pass from Da’Ssuan Sauls to Ray Castro. Foster answered in the second quarter when Marquis Jackson found Gabe Gutierrez from 10 yards out. Then it was more Renton as the Indians scored twice, on a touchdown run from Anthony Gold and a pass from Sauls to Immanuel Carter, to lead 26-6 at the half.
Foster came out in the second half with touchdowns from Jackson and Cedric Cooper to pull closer 26-21. Then Jackson connected with Guteierrez again late in the game to give Foster the slim victory.
Renton finishes the regular season against Hazen Friday night.
Lindbergh
Lindbergh cruised past Evergreen 34-7 Thursday night.
The Eagles (4-3, 3-2) are now in a three-way tie with Hazen and Renton for second place in the Seamount.
Lindbergh got on the board with a four-yard touchdown run from Cam Callen in the first quarter. Matt Stuart threw touchdown passes to Daniel Wiitanen and Calebse Cange, plus Callen returned a punt for a touchdown, all in the second quarter. Lindbergh led 27-0 at the half. Stuart found Derrick Holt for a 50-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.
Lindbergh takes on Foster Friday in the regular season finale.
Liberty
Liberty fell to Interlake 33-28 Friday night.
The Patriots (3-5, 3-3 KingCo 3A/2A) are now tied with the Saints for fourth place in the KingCo 3A/2A.
Liberty got rushing touchdowns from Tei Staladi and Jordan West in the second quarter to got into the half 14-14.
Interlake opened the second half with 13 straight points. Liberty edged closer with a four-yard pass from West to Connor Hudson. Interlake’s Jordan Todd then scored on a 79-yard run. West scored on another rush in the fourth quarter, but Liberty couldn’t complete the comeback.
Liberty finishes the regular season against Bellevue Friday night at Bellevue.
