Ed Prince to take seat on City Council Monday night

Ed Prince will take his seat on the Renton City Council Monday night after he's sworn in by state Rep. Marcie Maxwell.

Prince defeated Robin Jones in the November general election to replace King Parker on the council.

Judge Charles J. Delaurenti II will swear in Denis Law to his second term as mayor and newly re-elected council members, Marcie Palmer, Greg Taylor and Don Persson.

A reception for the newly elected and re-elected leaders is at 6:15 p.m. at the Conferencing Center on seventh floor, Renton City Hall.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the council chambers on the seventh floor of City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way. After the swearing in, the council will hear as presentation on the Renton School District’s levy and bond election in February.
