The Seattle Rainmakers, a local professional ultimate frisbee team, will play for a league championship tomorrow, Sunday, in a preview of the league playoffs.
The game is also a rematch, as the Dogfish outlasted the Rainmakers 16-15 in San Francisco June 15.
Sunday’s game, the final regular season home game of the year, will also see the team become the “Purple Rainmakers” and celebrate the 80s with music, costumes and lots of giveaways.
This season, the Rainmakers have averaged more than 600 people per game at Renton Memorial.
On Sunday, The team is offering half off admission for anyone in ‘80s outfits, and there will be prizes for the best outfits, the best dance moves, and the best overall Purple Rainmakers fan. Plus teams of 10 or more get a special rate of $5 per person.
The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
