The Issaquah Rotary Club has selected two Liberty High School students as Students of the Month for January.
Jordan Thompson is a senior at Liberty High School. He is a member of the Associated Student Body (ASB) Leadership, Distributive Education Clubs of Amercia (DECA) and Link Crew. His hobbies include baseball, golf, fishing and hanging out with friends. Thompson’s achievements are becoming varsity golf captain twice, junior varsity baseball captain, ASB vice president, homecoming king and junior class president. His goal is to go to a four-year university and pursue a career in landscape architecture.
Christina Cruz is a senior at Liberty High School. She was nominated by the Career/Technical Education department. She has a grade point average of 3.4. Her instructor, Delores Leber said, “Adversity has become the impetus toward skyrocketing success for Christina Cruz.” Cruz’s future goal is to attend Bellevue College and pursue a career as an ultra sound technician.
