Suspect sought in bank robbery in Newcastle on March 18

Detectives with the King County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the man who robbed a bank in Newcastle last Friday.

The robbery occurred at about 12:20 p.m. March 18 at Key Bank, 6917 Coal Creek Parkway S.E.

The robber gave the teller a robbery note but did not show or imply he had a gun, according to Sgt. John Urquhart with the Sheriff’s Office. The teller gave him money from the till and he left the bank on foot. Responding Newcastle officers and Sheriff’s deputies were not able to locate the man.

The man was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a black jacket with a brown collar, black baseball cap and light-colored jeans.

He was captured on a bank surveillance camera.
