Hazen’s Santana strikes out 15 in win

Sophomore pitcher Drew Sanatana struck out 15 Highline batters on Wednesday as the Hazen Highlaner baseball team improved to 11-7 overall and 11-1 in the Seamount.

Santana threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, striking out 15 batters and walking just 2 in the 3-0 victory.

All 3 of Hazen’s runs came in the fifth.

Ryan Gayte went 4-for-4 with a run in the win.

Hazen leads the Seamount League and is scheduled to take on cross-town rival Renton on Friday at Hazen.
