Teenagers hit woman with car | Renton police blotter

Hit-and-run: At 7:53 p.m. March 20 in the 17800 block of 108th Avenue Southeast, an officer contacted a victim of a hit-and-run collision. The victim informed the officer that his truck was parked in the corner of the parking lot and went into the business. Upon returning to his vehicle, he noticed fresh damage to the driver’s side hood and bumper on the same side. There were no witnesses or suspect information.
Assault at school: At 12:50 p.m. March 23 in the 1200 block of Edmonds Avenue, officers were dispatched for an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted all involved parties and pieced together that two students were walking down the hallway when two different students initiated a physical altercation. The students who instigated the encounter were referred to King County Juvenile Court for fourth-degree assault charges.
Burglary: At 3:01 p.m. March 24 in the 1400 block of Lake Washington Boulevard, officers were dispatched for a burglary. Officers contacted the victim, who stated that her father discovered that the garage door lock had been cut and several items were missing. No suspect information was provided. The investigation is ongoing.
Teenagers hit woman with car: At 5:04 p.m. March 25 in the 12000 block of Southeast Petrovitsky Road, officers were dispatched for a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who was being treated by Renton Fire for minor injuries. She told officers that when she arrived home from work, her son approached her about a group of teenagers who had assaulted him at the basketball court. She said the teens were in a vehicle, and when she went to approach the vehicle, the driver accelerated and hit her. The suspect vehicle was not located. Officers reviewed surveillance video, and the case has been forwarded to detectives for review.
Man punching woman: At 5:28 p.m. March 26 in the 4700 block of Northeast 4th Street, officers responded to an assault. A witness reported to dispatch that a man was punching a woman in a vehicle parked in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers contacted the male and female who fit the witness description. The female party told officers nothing had happened; they had only argued. Officers then contacted the reporting party, who declined to return to the scene and declined to write a formal witness statement as they did not want to testify in court. The male half was found to have a felony warrant and was booked into jail.
