Hosted by Renton Regional Fire Authority, Scout Night 2023 at Fire Station #14 was a major success on May 23.

Scout groups up to fifth grade from all over Renton came out to the event for activities that are fun, educational and designed to help kids fulfill some Scout badge requirements.

Scouts learned emergency preparedness, life-safety skills and more with the help of several partner agencies like the Renton Police Department, Renton Emergency Management, King County 911, 911 Kids Club, Zone 3 Fire Cadets, Washington Poison Center and Seattle Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Along with basic first aid and CPR, scouts learned knot tying, home fire escape planning, home safety, poison prevention, calling 911 and public safety career paths.
