Renton Mayor Law has authorized that Washington State and United States flags on all city facilities be lowered to half-staff on Monday, Dec. 30, in honor and remembrance of Pierce County Deputy Cooper Dyson. Flags will remain lowered through close of business or sunset, according to a tweet sent by the city.

Dyson died after crashing his patrol car while responding to an incident on Dec. 21. He was only 25-years-old. His memorial was held at the Tacoma Dome on Monday.
