Hazen High School’s Rae Gerking, girls soccer, was chosen as the Renton Reporter’s Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 9.

Q: What was your favorite subject in school?

A: Ap Stats.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Referring soccer and watching movies.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My family.

Q: Do you have a pre-game ritual or post-game tradition, and what is it?

A: Post game; I eat ice cream.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “When it rains it pours” by Luke Combs.

Rae leads the team with a quiet confidence. As a center defender she is on of our leading goal scorers. She has also prevented countless goals.
