Firefighters honor one of their own | SLIDESHOW

Hundreds of uniformed firefighters from around the region took part in a procession and memorial on Friday for Renton firefighter Donovan Eckhardt.

Eckhardt died of cancer in August. He was 37.

The service began at Renton headquarters where dozens of emergency vehicle participated in a procession along the 5 1/2- mile route to New Life Church, where the service was held.
