Nelsen Middle School student reports luring attempt | CORRECTED

Renton Police detectives are continuing to investigate an abduction attempt reported by a Nelsen Middle School student on April 27.
The 13-year-old girl told officers that a man driving a teal-colored SUV stopped as she was walking home from school at about 3 p.m. in the 11100 block of Southeast 164th Street. He asked for directions to the nearest gas station, according to a bulletin from the Renton Police Department.
The man told the girl to get into his vehicle and direct him to the station. She offered directions but he grabbed her to put her in the vehicle but she pulled away and ran.
He’s described as about 35 years old, medium height and lean build, spiky black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the Renton Police Department at 425-430-7500.
