Renton celebrates Chinese Lunar New Year | SLIDE SHOW

Renton’s Uwajimaya celebrated the Lunar New Year Sunday with a performance by the International Lion Dance and Martial Arts Team, of Seattle and Renton.
About 30 members of the team turned out to perform a traditional lion dance and bless the store and guests with best wishes and prosperity. A large crowd watched the performances, which also included martial arts, and followed the procession inside the store.
The Chinese Lunar New Year begins on Thursday, Feb. 19 and it is the year of the sheep, but also the goat.
