Pedestrian hurt in downtown Renton Friday afternoon

A pedestrian was taken to Valley Medical Center early Friday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle at Burnett Avenue South and South Fourth Street, according to the Renton Police Department.

The accident occurred at about 1 p.m., closing streets in the immediate area near Tonkin Park.
