The Seahawks are not the only champs beginning their title defense this week. The defending Seamount Champion Lindbergh Eagles open their campaign tonight at home against the Ingraham Rams of Seattle.
Despite some key losses, including last year’s Seamount Offensive Back of the Year Daniel Wiitannen and Seamount Defensive Lineman of the Year Tre Russell, the Eagles are looking to make a run at another title.
Second-year coach Matt Leamer, last year’s Seamount Coach of the Year, will lead his squad onto the field with Seamount first-teamers Khalil Burton, Devon Jackson and D’Shaun Sims back on the field as seniors.
Lindbergh opens their season at 7 p.m. tonight against Ingraham at Renton Memorial Stadium.
