School district changes budget meetings to May

The Renton School District is moving its three public budget meetings from next week to mid-May.

The state Legislature delayed its release of the annual budget, making how much the district will have to cut unclear.

The district initially thought it would face $4.3 million in cuts, but that was changed to just under $2.5 million, according to a press release.

The meetings are now at 7 p.m. May 10 at Lindbergh High School, May 13 at Hazen and May 17 at Renton.
