5-Star baseball team takes state; heads to California for a chance at Pony World Series

The 5-Star Pony baseball team won the Washington state title July 19. The Colt team of 15- and 16-year-olds stormed through the winners bracket undefeated until Enumclaw Baseball Club took it down 9-1. 5-Star bounced back for a 7-1 win against the Enumclaw team in the championship game. The plays in San Jose, Calif. starting July 30 for a chance to go to the Pony World Series.
5-Star draws players from the Hazen/Liberty area.
