The Liberty soccer team has saved its best for last, with a 1-0, must-win victory against Bellevue May 7 being the latest feat.

The Patriots (8-5-3 overall, 4-5-3 league) end up tied for third place in the KingCo. The team would have missed the playoffs with a loss.

Dakota MacKay scored the game’s long goal on an assist by Mark Loreen.

Liberty has not lost a game since April 21 against undefeated Mercer Island. The Patriots play against Bellevue this evening in the KingCo playoffs.
