Liberty wins nine events, narrowly falls to Mercer Island | Boys swim & dive

The Liberty boys swim and dive team made a statement with a 95-90 loss to Mercer Island Tuesday. The Patriots (1-1) won nine of the 12 events against the perennial powerhouse.

The Liberty boys swim and dive team made a statement with a 95-90 loss to Mercer Island Tuesday.

The Patriots (1-1) won nine of the 12 events against the perennial powerhouse.

“The guys were really on fire yesterday,” said Liberty coach Kris Daughters. “I’m super proud of them.”

Liberty’s 200-yard medley relay won with Luke Duschl, Raymond Ha, Logan Briggs and Kevin Hays swimming. Freshman Nick Klatt won the 200 and 500 free. Duschl won the 200 IM and 100 back. Briggs won the 50 and 100 free. Ha won the 100 breast. The Patriots also won the 400 free relay with Briggs, Connor Biehl, Klatt and Duschl.
