ESPN’s John Clayton breaks down how the Seattle Seahawks’ draft plans changed when the Philadelphia Eagles traded quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins were expected to draft Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen with the fourth pick. That would likely leave the Seahawks with at least one of the draft’s top two offensive tackles (Oklahoma State’s Russell Okung or Oklahoma’s Trent Williams) when the team drafted with the sixth pick.

With McNabb aboard, the Redskins now likely won’t draft Claussen and could take an offensive tackle.

That could leave Seattle with a tougher decision to make, between Clausen, Rutgers’ Anthony Davis (offensive tackle), Iowa’s Bryan Bulaga (offensive tackle) or Tennessee’s Eric Berry (safety).

The Seahawks already have quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst under contract. Seattle does have needs at offensive tackle and safety.
