The Hazen softball team edged Highline 7-8 Monday. The Highlanders (4-4 overall, 4-1 Seamount) took an early lead, but allowed six runs to the Pirates in the second inning. Hazen came back with three runs in the sixth, then scored the winning run in the top of the seventh.

Kellie Pederson pitched and earned the win for Hazen. Chelsea Moorhead went 3-5 with two RBI’s. Danielle Martin stole four bases, including home.
