Fab four: Kentridge seniors sign to play ball

Four Kentridge High senior standouts signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports on Nov. 8.

The foursome – from left, Preston Viltz, Mikey Calllia, Kody Darcy and Morgan Gary – officially inked their scholarships in the school’s career center with family, friends, coaches and staff joining the ceremony. Viltz, an outfielder, will join Callia, a pitcher, at Lower Columbia College in Longview. Darcy, a shortstop, will head to Cincinnati to play baseball at Xavier University.

Morgan, a 5-foot-8 guard/forward who helped guide the Chargers to the state 4A title last season, signed with Northern Arizona University.

“She’s an exceptional athlete with an exceptional work ethic,” said her coach, Bob Sandall. “She deserves every bit of this.”
