Liberty won its third game in a row Thursday, beating Sammamish 5-2.
John McLeod started and picked up the win for the Patriots (8-2 overall, 7-1 league).
Eric Peterson went 2-2 with a homerun and three RBI. Cameron Talley went 2-3, Troy Askins went 2-3 with a double and two runs.
Liberty now stands in first place in the KingCo 3A/2A. The Patriots are one game ahead of Bellevue. Liberty swept Bellevue in two games earlier this season and the two play once more on April 24.
The Patriots also appear on Washington Baseball Poll’s list of top 10 3A teams, at number six.
