Havalock Alma Jones | Obituary

Havalock Alma Jones, 71, of Seattle, passed peacefully in her sleep of natural causes after a long illness on October 27, 2023.

Havalock was born on May 9, 1952, in Renton, WA. She was raised in Kennydale. Havalock attended Renton High School and Franklin High School. She graduated from Seattle University with a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Music.

Havalock was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Nelsen Jones Jr. and Mary Jane Jones (Oatis), sister Zella Margo Safadago-Jones (Oatis), brother Gerald Nelson Jones. She is survived by her son Shaka Forest, her cousins Vannetta Cash (Upshaw), Nick Upshaw, and Eugene Cash.

Havalock had a great love of music and going to gatherings to be with friends and family. She enjoyed classical music, Bruce Springsteen, and James Brown. She had been a devoted member of the Center for Spiritual Living in Seattle for many years.

She was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

A celebration of Havalock’s life will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living, 6318 Linden Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103 on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1 p.m.
