Gaius S. Buxton was born in Hayward, MN and died at the age of 83 in Renton, WA.He was a proud World War II Naval Veteran having served as a Signalman 3rd Class aboard the Naval Flagship USS Grimes during the war. He retired after 44 plus years of loyal service for the Boeing Company. He will be remembered as a brilliant self made man with many accomplishments. He was a fierce advocate for things he cared about. In his heart he was still the farm boy who left Minnesota at the age of ten. He was considered a “Rock” for many of the family members and will be missed by all.He is survived by his loving wife Louise of 57 years. Also survived by sons George Silbersdorff, Gerald Buxton, and John Buxton, daughters Gale Wilson and Donna Collins, brother Roger Buxton, sisters Hazel Fisher and Virginia Caldwell, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Services will be held on Thursday November 12, with visitation at 11:00 am and the memorial service at 1:00 pm at Greenwood Memorial Park 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA.Please visit the online guest book at www.mem.com
