Betty Jean Stark
It is with a truly heavy heart the family of Betty Jean Stark is sharing her passing, she had just had her 92nd birthday with her family. Betty was the oldest of six children, born in Portland Oregon, July 20, 1924, daughter to Spyridon Haralampus and Carolina Rydberg.
She was survived by her only daughter, Cherylaine and Ernest Cecchini, granddaughter Trina Tucker, grandson Jeffrey Tucker & Tami Tucker, great-grandson Tucker Oelschlager, great-grand daughter Chelsea Tucker and great-grandson Austin Tucker. Also siblings, Merrritt Marthaller, George Haralampus and Raleigh Harris and many other beloved family members and friends.
Betty attended Laurelhurst Elementary School and Washington High School. Musician at heart, she played First Chair Concert Mistress for the Portland Junior Symphony.
Betty retired from Boeing Areospace Company after over 30 years of service. She was an avid reader and traveler. She traveled the world, countries included but not limited to Spain, Morocco, Europe, Australia, Egypt, Israel and her father’s homeland, Greece.
During her retirement, she kept busy. Volunteering at Ridgewood Elementary, Valley Medical Center and the King County library system. She will truly be missed by all and as she would say good-bye “toodles”.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27th, 11am at Rose City Cemetery and Funeral Home located in Portland, Oregon.
