Assaulted in a car

Renton police responded on Feb. 29 at approximately 2 a.m. to a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of Oakesdale Avenue. According to the department, a physical altercation occurred between a man and a woman, with the woman reporting that the man assaulted her in her vehicle. She honked her car horn to attract attention from someone, and the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. According to the department, police have probable cause for the arrest of the suspect on a felony charge of assault in the second degree.

Domestic violence

Renton officers responded on Feb. 29 at approximately 9:13 a.m. to the 5100 block of Northeast 3rd Street for a physical altercation between a woman and her boyfriend. According to the department, the man fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. The Renton Regional Fire Authority treated the woman at the scene for her injuries. Police have probable cause to arrest the suspect for assault in the second degree, according to the department.

Assaults

Renton officers responded on March 2 at approximately 12:34 p.m. to a physical altercation in the 2300 block of Northeast 4th Street. According to the department, the incident involved two victims (a man and his wife) and two suspects — the man’s brother and a second man. Police arrested and booked the brother into jail on investigation of assault in the fourth degree, and the second man into jail for investigation of assault in the second degree. According to the department, the Renton Regional Fire Authority treated the man on the scene for his injuries.

Hospitalized

Renton officers responded on March 2 at approximately 11:21 p.m. to a domestic disturbance in the 2900 block of Northeast 9th Place. According to the department, a physical altercation occurred between a woman and her boyfriend. The boyfriend fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. First responders treated and transported the woman to a hospital for injuries she received during the altercation. The case has been forwarded to the department’s investigations team for further review.
