The Snake Hill Neighborhood Association will get a new bus shelter for kids thanks to a City of Renton Neighborhood Grant.

The neighborhood adopted a service project for 2014 to build a school bus shelter for neighborhood children. The project is being taken on by Boy Scout Alexander Martz, as the project leader and the location has been approved by the city for the east side of 102nd Avenue Southeast and near Southeast 186th Street.

Martz is asking for help from neighborhood volunteers to construct the shelter this summer during work parties. For more information, contact the Snake Hill Neighborhood Association at snakehillrenton@gmail.com or 425-679-9395.
