Three injured in drag racing crash Saturday morning

A King County Sheriff’s helicopter was monitoring the group and the pilot had just called in Renton officers when two of the cars crashed into one another.

Three people were injured early Saturday morning when two cars that were allegedly drag racing crashed on Oakesdale Avenue Southwest.

At about 12:45 a.m., a Subaru Forrester and a Mazda 3 had just finished a race when one car crossed in front of the other. One of the cars ignited in flames. Arriving officers assisted at least one of the injured away from the burning car.
