Struck in the head

Renton police responded on Jan. 31 at 6:59 p.m. to a report of an assault on the 1500 block of North Brooks Street. According to the department, the victim reported that a man he knew struck him in the head three times and fled the scene. Officers located the vehicle they believed the suspect fled in. They did not locate the suspect. According to the department, law enforcement have probable cause to arrest the suspect for assault in the second degree.

Domestic disturbance

Renton police responded on Jan. 30 at 8:50 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival at the scene, officers heard arguing, according to the department. Four individuals inside the residence accused a suspect of assaulting them. According to the department, officers handcuffed the suspect after initial resistance to arrest, and booked him into jail.

Gunshot wound

Renton police responded on Jan. 31 at 1:22 a.m. to Valley Medical Center in the 400 block of South 43rd Street after a man with a gunshot wound showed up at the hospital. According to the department, the injuries were non life-threatening. Officers attempted to speak with the victim, who said he didn’t remember anything from the incident.

Burglary in progress

Renton police responded on Jan. 31 at 5:08 a.m. to the 600 block of Southwest 5th Court for a burglary in-progress. According to the department, the victim reported they heard an individual attempting to enter the residence through a window. The victim tried to scare the individual away. The suspect did not leave, and the victim left the apartment and called 911. Officers arrived and located a 31-year-old man with a crowbar outside the residence. According to the department, police arrested the suspect and booked him into jail on investigation of attempted burglary.
