Rotary Club Teachers of the Month for March

The Rotary Club of Renton has honored its Teachers of the Month for March.
- Laretha Todd is a third-grade teacher at Lakeridge Elementary School.
Before becoming a teacher with the district nine years ago, she was a long- term substitute teacher at Clio Elementary School in Alabama.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in K-8 collaborative education from Troy University in Alabama.
Todd continued her education at the University of Washington, earning a masters in curriculum and instruction.
- Sena Camarata is a Hazen High School science teacher.
Before becoming a teacher she was a research chemist with the National Marine Fisheries Services and the University of Washington Genome Center.
She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry from Western Washington University and a teaching certificate in secondary education from Pacific Lutheran University.
Camarata has been a teacher in Renton for six years.
- Susan Kliewer is a teacher at Renton Academy.
Before coming to Renton she taught in California and at the African- American Academy in Seattle. This is her third year in Renton.
Kliewer holds bachelor’s of science degree in physical education from California Polytechnic State University. She also earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Washington.
