The city of Renton will be holding the 2025 State of the City address with Mayor Armondo Pavone later this month.
The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport at 5:50 p.m. March 26. The event will include an annual presentation from the mayor on where the city is, the city’s priorities and the direction they will be heading in the next year, said city spokesperson Laura Pettitt.
“The mayor will be addressing key focus areas, including public safety, cleanliness and condition of the city, strengthening social services, right-sizing, and economic development and growth,” Pettitt said.
Pettitt said there will be a reception prior to the presentation where city staff, boards and commission members and elected officials will be available to answer questions, along with tables with specific project information.
“Questions for the mayor specifically are always welcome in the Mayor’s Office via phone or email, and aren’t limited to this event,” Pettitt said.
Pettitt said the event is free and open to all.
“Space is limited, so we ask that people RSVP at the Eventbrite link on our website and social channels,” Pettit said.
Pettitt said the event will be recorded and presented on Channel 21 through the next few months and be available on the city’s YouTube channel.
Another opportunity for questions to the city is the twice monthly “What’s Brewing with Ed” series with Renton Chief Administrative Officer Ed VanValey, Pettitt said. Those take place at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at Luther’s Table and at 5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at Berliner Pub. The event will allow residents to discuss ideas, issues and concerns with VanValey.
