A Renton Relay For Life team is encouraging parents to get out for a kids-free night on the town with a babysitting fundraising event.

The team, “Cancer Can Kiss Our Gluteus Maximus,” will sponsor a babysitting night for parents from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., May 4 at United Christian Church, 15509 116th Ave. SE, in Renton.

It is a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The group held a similar event in February to give parents a Valentines Day night out.

“Parents need to have fun, too!” said team member Michel Riemer.

Parents can drop off and pick up their children at any time during the event, and they can pay whatever donation they see fit.
