Renton police release sketch of Subway robber

Renton police have released a sketch of the suspect in the robbery of a Subway restaurant on Dec. 6.

They are still seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect.

He entered the restaurant at 235 Rainier Avenue South, pulled out a gun and ordered the employee to open the cash register. The employee was unable to open the register and the suspect removed cash from the tip jar before leaving.

He is described as a light-skinned, possibly African American male. He is between 6’00” and 6’02” with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a black beanie and a distinctive white jacket with dark patterned sleeves and dark stripes around the collar and wrists.

The suspect may have been involved in four additional robberies in the south Puget Sound area; in two of those cases he was working with an accomplice.
