RENTON BLOTTER: Man lured by four women before robbed

The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports:

A man was beaten and robbed by about five others after being lured by four females June 22.

The man said he met the girls at HD Hotspurs in Kent. He got into their white Cadillac, before they took him to the Tiffany Park neighborhood.

When he exited the vehicle, about five men beat him to the ground. He woke up a few hours later in the Metro Park and Ride on South Grady Way.

Smokebombs found

Police found a military ammo box with three smoke grenades and a star cluster military flare on the 3800 block of Northeast Fourth Street.

A Port of Seattle bomb squad officer disposed of the items.

Church break-in

Someone broke into St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church at 1700 Edmonds Ave. N.E., to sleep and steal a snack June 23.

The janitor noticed paint chips on the floor in the morning, before discovering the skylight had been broken.

He had recently encountered a 15-year-old who had slept in the church, because his father was an alcoholic and he didn’t get along with his mother.

Car fire

A woman’s Chevy Blazer burst into flames on the 3600 block of Northeast Fourth Street at 6:35 p.m., June 28.

She told police she had just had the oil changed.
