Police looking for help identifying shooting suspects

RPD is seeking public assistance to identify suspects in the Dec. 21 hookah lounge shooting.

Renton Police Department is looking to identity suspects involved in a Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, shooting at Nomad’s Hookah Lounge on Southwest 41st Street.

Police were dispatched to the hookah lounge around 2:12 a.m. on Dec. 21 after multiple reports of a fight and gunshots. They found blood and shell casings in the area, however no victims or suspects were found on the scene at the time.

Investigators have now determined that the incident began with a fight in the parking lot that escalated into a shooting, according to a press release. The gunfight moved inside the hookah lounge where several shooters engaged in an exchange of gunfire that lasted approximately 4 minutes.

A 28-year-old man was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center with several gunshot wounds, however he is reportedly not cooperating with detectives.

Detectives found surveillance footage of people directly involved in shooting, and are asking the public’s assistance to help identity them.
