One injured in downtown shooting Thursday night

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

Renton Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting that left one person injured.

Police received a 911 call from the transit center at 11:03 pm July 2 about a shooting in the 500 block of South Second Street.

Responding Officers found the single victim, a 16 year old male from Seattle, in a nearby  business. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

Renton Detectives responded to the shooting scene, and are investigating this incident. To date, no arrests have been made, and the motivation behind the shooting is unknown.
